Due to continued growth in the business and future plans Smile Caribbean Group Travel (trading as Smile Group Travel) is recruiting a Sales and Marketing Executive to join the team and help take the business forward. This multi-faceted role will give the successful candidate an opportunity to play an integral part in the business.
Background to Smile
Smile Caribbean Group Travel (Smile) is a successful sports tour specialist, established in Barbados in 2009 and based in the UK since 2010. In the following 14 years Smile has developed as a strong and successful business with a fantastic range of tours across the world. Our focus is on delivering sports tours, from overseas pre-season cricket tours for professional teams, domestic and overseas sports tours, through to our own Festivals and Events, in the UK and overseas. Smile is also an authorised group travel partner for Disneyland Paris.

About the role
Purpose
To support the company to maximise revenue opportunities through ongoing sales activities and the delivery of our marketing strategy.
Responsibilities
Sales
- Coordinate and manage appointments, scheduling meetings, and follow-up communications with the Managing Directors clients along with attending client meetings with Managing Director
- Working with the Smile operations team to put together comprehensive and accurate quote documents for bespoke tours for the Managing Director
- Liasing with new clients, taking initial enquiries, facilitating meeting follow ups and supporting the process throughout the sales lifecycle
- Managing our CRM database, specifically responses to promotions or tour launches to identify follow up action, managing data segmentation and ensuring accuracy and relevance of all data
- Supporting Managing Director with prioritisation of sales pipeline
Marketing
- Assisting our external Marketing consultant in delivering our marketing and digital content strategy
- Daily management of our social media channels to deliver content to agreed calendar, while also keeping the channels engaging and fluid
- Coordinating all print and online marketing content for Smile Tours, Festival and Events
- Managing our website SEO to maximise our site's visibility and rankings and ensure all content is relevant and up to date
- Ensuring the company is GDPR compliant
About you
Essential Skills
- You will have some experience in a sales and/or marketing role, ideally within a travel company, events company or similar industry, marketing qualifications would be beneficial.
- You will have a strong interest in, and knowledge of, sports, especially our core sports of cricket, hockey, football, rugby and netball.
- You will have good working knowledge of the Microsoft office suite, websites, social media platforms, and an understanding of CRM database best practice and be keen on the benefits of technology to aid revenue growth.
- You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be numerate.

- Flexible working arrangements, with 2 to 3 days each week in our co-working office in Farringdon, London.
- While this role will primarily office/home based, there will be opportunities to travel to support the business.
- You will be reporting into the Managing Director.
